Coro Pittsburgh is proud to announce that the 2014-2015 cohort of Public Allies successfully completed their year of service on June 25, 2015. Family, friends, program partners, and staff joined the 28 participants at the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination to celebrate their achievements at “Grad-U-Action.”

The event showcased the Allies’ learning and leadership with music, food, dance, art and inspiring calls to action for Pittsburgh and beyond. All Allies gave a Presentation of Learning (POL), modeled after a Ted talk , which summarized their experiences in the program and served as platform for a call to action. Allies spoke on a range of topics including mentoring youth, environmental stewardship, leadership development, grassroots community building, public education and collaboration to name a few. In addition, Allies created physical art pieces which were on display in the art gallery to exemplify the message in their POL.
